NE24 - The Northeast's Extreme Off-Road Motorcycle Event
The NE24 is a 24-Hour extreme motorcycle off-road event that pushes both racers and machines to their very limits. Paying homage to the Le Mans 24-Hour auto race, the green flag flies for the NE24 at 10am sharp on Saturday with racers running to their machines! For the next 24 Hours, each racer/team will live on adrenaline with a side of dust, dirt, mud and rock, as the checkered flag doesn’t fly until Sunday at 10am… rain or shine!
The extremely challenging racetrack is comprised of everything traditional off-road racing throws at bold competitors; rocky hillclimbs and downhills, muddy/dusty forest trails and logging roads, technical creek sections and super-fast fields! Just when these extreme racers think they’ve got the dirt, rocks, ruts and roots figured out, the sun goes down and you add in surprises from Mother Nature… it’s a whole other world completely!
Drawing daring competitors from all regions of North America, and even Europe, most compete as teams of 4 or 6, while the most extreme attempt to finish as duo’s or even solo Iron-men and women! Most amateur level riders compete aboard their own motorcycles, while the Pro level teams must enter only one machine!
This is simply an event like no other. The Pit Area is a mini-racer’s village of tents and race trailers, lit-up through the night with teams scrambling to not only stay awake, but to keep both racer and machine going for the duration! The NE24 is a Bucket-list event, and just remember… when you see Fireworks blasting over the track, it’s only the halfway mark!
